Our day in Pokhara will probably be my favourite day from this whole trip and one of the best days of my life. Pokhara is this gem of a lakeside town nestled between the hills of Nepal – because apparently it’s not a mountain if it’s less that 3000 metres – where the streets aren’t full of honking cars and aggressive shopkeepers which was a huge relief after most of India (where the opposite is true). Jess and I woke up in the morning and grabbed breakfast at this adorable cafĂ© that had a delicious North American breakfast for Jess and pastries for me. We also tried to order strawberry smoothies but apparently the closest thing they have to a smoothie is milk with strawberry syrup. Still it was a refreshing start to the day.
