Flying high in Pokhara

Our day in Pokhara will probably be my favourite day from this whole trip and one of the best days of my life. Pokhara is this gem of a lakeside town nestled between the hills of Nepal – because apparently it’s not a mountain if it’s less that 3000 metres – where the streets aren’t full of honking cars and aggressive shopkeepers which was a huge relief after most of India (where the opposite is true). Jess and I woke up in the morning and grabbed breakfast at this adorable cafĂ© that had a delicious North American breakfast for Jess and pastries for me. We also tried to order strawberry smoothies but apparently the closest thing they have to a smoothie is milk with strawberry syrup. Still it was a refreshing start to the day.
